So, the thing with the pictures is that the artificial environment is wonderfully beautiful. There’s still a lot of romanticism out there about authentic natural experience (against which keyhole has most excellently argued). Helping to disseminate these images is just my small intervention into this discursive field
In summary, nature is stupid and modernity is awesome.
